We have awoken the artists on the Internet, developed our communication networks to pick an artistic bunch around one single theme: African Culture.
Introduction: A third year rich in emotions, again. A great cultural journey thanks to the Internet. A unique experience that we advise to all the Internet users curious to discover the treasures and cultural tendencies existing around African Culture.
The 3rd edition opened its doors to all the arts from Africa (Dance, Sculpture, Painting, Directors of Short Movies, Actors, Comic actors, Slammers, Story-tellers…) and more broadly to 5 other regions of the world chosen and representing those which had the biggest flows of migration, such as Caribbean, Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba or Colombia. We wanted to do them credit.
This year we could not gather many sculptors, directors, dancers, story-tellers, slammers, actors, comic actors… Social networks such as Myspace or facebook do not bring us to them. But we don’t feel defeated. We are foreseeing to develop our network to cultural actors based in Africa, but this takes a bit more time. See you for the 4th edition, fore even richer discoveries in these categories.
Message to Participants: First of all thank you for your participation, it was a pleasant journey and we met great discoveries who deserve to better live on their art, according to the AFRO PEPITES Jury of the 3rd edition.
For the categories Fashion, Slam, Directors, Story-tellers, Actors, Solidarity-based actions, the votes will not be opened for the public because of the small number of participants. Thus, we propose that you apply right now for the 4th edition of the AFRO PEPITES SHOW. We can continue talking about you, by sending us your news, so that we distribute them on our network.
For those who are not finalists, The African Dream invites you to answer now to its offers sent by email during your subscription (Digital distribution, your news on our network...) and to apply for the 4th edition with a new proposal. Tastes and colors were diverse among the jury this year. We drew our attention on the most creative artists.
For the Finalists: you will receive an email, but meanwhile download your logo and forward it to your fans. Our team advises you to add it also on your page Myspace, Facebook or your Internet website. The votes are open from November 01 until December 31, 2011, so good luck in this last step.
Message for Internet users: This 3rd edition presents a mix of nice discoveries. We could not start the announcement of the finalists of the 3rd edition without thanking our precious partners, who, all along the 3rd edition, increased the standing of our actions and the actions of the artists who won the 1st and 2nd editions. A special thanks to Radio AFRICA N°1 who gave us one interview per month, to TéléSud who gave interviews and talked with love about the talents about the AFRO PEPITES SHOW, to AFRIK.COM who broadcasted all our main news, to STAR AFRICA Orange portal, who offered a page for each talent revealed by the AFRO PEPITES SHOW, to AFRICA 24 TV who came to interview the talents of the AFRO PEPITES SHOW in Live, to AFRICULTURES.COM who broadcasted the key news about the precious network, to Solid'Arts International a cultural association active in Ouagadougou who helps us to develop the network in Burkina Faso, and of course to l’Olympic Café who allowed us to program the « Festival Nous sommes tous des Africains » and let us program the talents of the AFRO PEPITES SHOW. L’Olympic Café has also been giving us the floor since 01 November 2010 to program the auditorium on Fridays and Saturdays. This is a springboard for the artists of the AFRO PEPITES SHOW. Those who will be programmed will be able to benefit from the communication done among organizers to discover the talents from home, thanks to Web Tv broadcasting the live concerts and LE BOUQUET AFRICAIN
Each adventure is also different thanks to the AFRO PEPITES Jury who dedicates its time and uses its senses to reveal new talents, thanks to Internet users who bring us to new talents or cultural actors, to friends, to family who support us, and of crouse to Gwénaëlle RAVON who translated all our news into English, to Claude RISMONDO, Thierry MIAILLE, Martine TAUZIN, Sophie FAURE & Emmanuel DEHE for their precious support.

« The AFRO PEPITES SHOW is a WEB SHOW dedicated to arstist from the World around only one theme « African culture ». This portal is then used by numerous Internet users, Cultural Actors,… to increase the standing of the Hidden Talents of Africa. This initiative was created to support artists in their way to become professionals (ie until they can live on their art). Thus, the association built a network which gives the opportunity for some artists discovered by the Jury and the Public to become more visible among numerous organizers, media, producers, managers, tour managers.
The 3rd edition and the meetings are already great human and artistic experiences. A great cultural whirl. This edition is lighter in original discoveries. I found well done and good level creations but as a whole I would have expected a bit more “pepper” and new things. We do enjoy new original and fizzy creations...
Again this year it was very hard to choose between very good traditional and modern music. But the selection reveals that the Jury was more attracted by modern and creative music.
For next year we are thinking about category by style and not by Region of Africa… To be followed…
We all have different music tastes and colors, therefore we advise the artists who did not draw our attention to integrate other active networks to test their creations, to help them with broadcasting their creations or to propose us a new creation next year.
Nowadays the Internet must be used to develop an artistic career.
- Get the right people to receive some help to have a Myspace, Reverbnation page or any other social network that offers you a window to display your creations.
- Get a data base with emails of your fans and organizers, producers, managers that you know to broadcast your news (Concerts, album releases, clips...),
- Talk about you on the Net and in auditoriums.
Most of you are now at this step of your career alone in your business. Once your business can be self-financing we will be able to have a manager… But before that do not feel defeated, believe in what you do, provoke meetings, test your public…
