Biography:
Merlin
Armand Nitcheu Moukam is born in Western Cameroon
in a small village called BANKA.
His passion for drawing started in his childhood; at 4 y.o. he was already scribbling
on anything he could find. Very soon he developed a real passion for pencil.
Only in 2007 he decided to paint, after having thought about it for a long
time. Attracted by the colours of nature, his work is figurative with some
realist tendency; daily life sceneries, history and African culture are the
faces on all his paintings; as he taught himself the techniques, he
experimented several techniques and means such as pencil, oil paint etc; MOUKAM MERLIN has already exhibited in several
places in Cameroon.

Biography:
Afanou
Korblah Richard, born in Ivory Coast, is then returned to his home country,
Benin.
Since 1998 he
exhibited in Cotonou, but also travels in Europe, working in several artist
residencies, like that of La Ciotat, near Marseilles, in the festival Nuits
Métis.
Committed artist, he was also a time Okuta part of the
association whose aim was the promotion of art in Benin, and was involved in
Cotonou against pollution by participating in the demonstration Boulev'art.
This young artist
likes to work in Dassa, famous for its 41 hills with beautiful walks.
His work now is facing the Fulani people, marginalized in Benin as in other
countries of West Africa, and is particularly interested in one of their
custom: a ceremony of flogging (goja) rite of passage among adults for young
men. Flogging shows the transcendence of
physical pain for the quest of an ideal. Photographs, metals, soil, paint,
fabrics, born ... paintings and sculptures expressing the pain and joy,
strength and brutality of these ceremonies.
Through his work,
Richard A. Korblah seeks to promote and share tolerance and acceptance of others,
the dialogue of cultures and the culture of peace.
