Biography : 8 members, each of them
having grown up with diverse music styles (chaabi, andalou, rock, metal,
reggae, gnawi, classical music), Djmawi Africa naturally mix genders and
influences to share the richness coming from mixing.
Djmawi Africa, with
dynamism and freshness of youth, offer in each performance to a faithful and
increasingly numerous public a real party and heady atmosphere. While defending
their common value, their African origin of Algeria, they continue expressing
themselves artistically through their music work of creation.

Biography: Anis Benhallak comes from Chelghoum Laid in Algeria where he studies Algerian
and Arabic music. When he was 14, the guitar became his favourite instrument
and he started to be interessed in some other music styles. He joined some
small bands which were performing in the region and then in the country. He is
young and became rapidly known for his symbiosis with his instrument.
Kind of blue of Miles
Davis was a trigger in his life; he discovered Jazz and improvisation music. By
his own means, he found music sheets and started to evolve in this universe.
Jazz will be the beginning of a big passion.
When he was 21, he
decided to be based in France
in order to improve his technique and his music knowledge. After several years
within the Paris Jazz universe, he created a band Anis Benhallak «Paradoxical
Sextet » accompanied by international musicians: Luca Bonvini - trumpet
(Italia), Emrah Kaptan – bass guitar (Turquia), Adel Khababa - percussions (Algeria),
Martin Milcent - keyboard (France), Romain Vignaud - drums (France).
His technique and his
experience give him the opportunity to
mix several styles which are important to him. In between his Maghreb roots and his passion for Jazz, he created his
own music style universe.
His music is a trip
through the heart of a world where the history and the myth of a bewitching and
mystic Africa are mixing with its songs and rhythms,
and the universe of jazz with its beauty and richness.

Biography : Clearly inspired by his time, IAmBad
plays with the current codes and diverts them subtly. He gracefully uses the
concepts with songs like « La Confiance, « L’Architecte » and
builds his own alter ego: a character without discomfort in his darken side.
His motto: « Break
barriers, smahs frontiers » is fully accepted during his artistic
composition on the stage: urban beats by classical instruments (violoncello,
piano), his actions, because he performed a concert in July 2010 at the prison
Maison d’Arrêt in Seysses (France) and spent a day meeting with the detainees.
In 2010 he realized his
first show: Le Show Spirale
which is a modern story
and explores the two faces which are sleeping in any one of us.
Through slam, rap, classical music, theater, cinema, lyric singing, and dance;
this show in the form of cinema shows the artist who will become then the
darken side of Iambad, while telling in which spiral like and times bring any
person.
The soundtrack of the
show, his first album is foreseen for the end of 2012.
Meanwhile he has been
wandering through towns and auditoriums to present his New Forms of Artistic
Chaos (Nouvelles Formes de Chaos Artistiques).
